TRAINING COURSE RISING DIGITAL YOUTH WORK
The Training Course Rising Digital Youth Workers is the second mobility for Youth Workers of the Project Let’s get online and Rising Digital Youth Workers hosted by Youth Support Centre.
The objectives of the training course were: to improve knowledge of issues related to creating and shaping an online professional image of the organisation and of a youth worker as an individual (branding) and how to create and manage a free or cheap webpage; to get experience in using tools of analysis of the online presence of the organisation and individual ( AdWords, Tag title and Meta Tag Description, creative writing, webbing, CEO copy writing) and Knowledge on how to run visual communication online; to get Practical skills related to creating content for different online platforms (facebook, twitter, Instagram, youtube); to get Basic Skills and experience in using different design programmes; to get knowledge and skills on how to prepare reports, newsletters, other promotional materials;
In order to build a proper online image of themselves and their organizations as well, participants were asked to conduct a thorough analyzis of their personal social media accounts and the social media tools of their organizations. The participants also provided their recommendations on improving the online image of the respective organizations.
The youth workers included in this mobility, scrutinised the features of the most popular social media platforms: Youtube, Facebook and Instagram, and thus, gained a profound insight into the strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the new media.
The final part of the training course was dedicated to creating a Web-page in WordPress platform. All participant took part in the creation of the project web page and the results of their synergy can now be seen at http://www.wefdfdgs.org.
When it comes to party – it was not lacking. The intercultural evenings enriched with delicious food from all over Europe, dance and laughter, brought the participants closer to one another and made them more aware of the European values and the culture of the others.
