Tips to improve online communication

Keep your online commucation short and simple.

These days we rely on online communication a lot, it is easier and faster to send an e-mail, SMS or write a port on the website/ funpage in order to express ourselves better and inform bigger number of people at once.

But! Noone says that online commucation makes life easier!
In order to reach the target and keep it interested to read what we write but also to keep yourself updated and avaible, we created a few tips that could help.

The first and most important rule, is our modification of the KISS RULE.

KISS – Keep It Simple and Short

Below, we present you our 10 Tips to improve online communication:

1. A good e-mail or text should take only 15-30 seconds to read. Less is more in online communication. Try to have the entire message fit onto the first screen.
2. Establish correct “Subject” line and the first three words of a note.
3. E-mail is a permament being. Remember about it when you want to write something bad or unpleasent.
4. Establish a clear objective of what you want to achieve by writting the text.
5. Bold the most important words/news/deadlines etc.
6. Do not pretend you are someone else – create online communication the same as you would speak real time.
7. Try not to use pronouns, especially “you”.
8. Use soften words instead of : never, cannot, have to, impossible.
9. Funny – yes, sarcastic – no.
10. Keep your e-mail clean, be highly responsive, avoid e-mail traffic.
